The lid of this Bluthner piano is inlaid with square tessellated marquetry. A central diamond in satinwood is surrounded by tessellated jacaranda squares in alternating wood grains for contrast.

This Bluthner piano has high piano cheeks with carved egg and dart detail. This design is repeated on the carved stretcher that supports the piano lyre. The lyre sits on two square central pillars. Intricate marquetry inlay in a panel above the keyboard in ovals and squares in a variety of coloured woods
